We had Civil War Day at School last Friday for Paige. She got dress up in a Southern Belle costume and have a re-enactment. It was really funny because most of the girls went onto the field as nurses, and drag the "wounded" off the field. Paige changed out of her dress, grabbed a rifle, and fought along side of the boys. She was no nurse! I am so proud. she is in the blue shirt in the picture on the field. The Paper came out and intervied some of the students and Paige made it into the Saturday paper! Cool! There are only 11 4th grade girls at her school. (we go to a small, private school)

Here is Emma on her 8th birthday. We went to a place that you get to paint ceramics. It was a lot of fun. Her birthday was Dec 30th. (that is Grace in the maroon shirt in the background)

Emma shares a birthday with her papa, George.

As you can see in the pictures, Tulsa became one huge ice cube a couple of weeks ago. This is NOT snow. It is all ice. It was so slick that you could not walk anywhere. You really could not sled because it was too dangerous.
Luckily, we only lost power for about 3 hours. Thank Goodness! The "glacier" is still in the front yard.

Birthday's

Paige just celebrated her 10th birthday. She wanted to go the mall, shop and eat at the food court with a few of her friends. It was a fun afternoon. (Paige is in orange) A couple of the moms went with me so I was not alone at the mall with all of these goofy girls.

Me and Aunt Ruth at Christmas. We had Christmas at our house this year. I also made the girls wear matching pj's again this year. The right of being the mother!

The George Bobble Head

What do you get for someone who needs nothing for Christmas? A custom Bobble head!
It is a George Bobble!

Grace had her 6th birthday on Oct 9th. None of us could find a lighter or anything to light her cake with so we had to "pretend" to blow out the cake. Oh well, she still loved it. We went to a gymnastic studio.

The above photo is Katie riding the bumper boats at the fair. She was so excited to be big enough to do it.

I had forgotten to post a picture of Grace and Katie's first day of school.

Grace went to Kindergarten and Katie went to our church's preschool.

It is official, I have no babies left at home.

BUT, they will always be my babies!

We went to the fair this past weekend and Emma and Grace wanted to ride the "Bull". Paige and Katie would have nothing to do with it. Emma was bucked off pretty quickly, but they were unable to get buck of Grace. They finally had to just tell her to get off herself. What a bull rider!

Today, we started soccer. In the first pictures, Grace is in the bow. (paige is in the green pants)
Her league does not start until next weekend. Nana got to watch Emma's game on one of the other fields - pictures to come. Chad coaches Grace's under 6 team of SEVEN girls. It was really fun. Grace even made a goal today.

School started last week for Paige and Emma. Paige - 4th grade Emma - 2nd grade
They are realy happy to be at school - so is mom! Paige gets to start Latin this year. I guess Chad and I will get to learn along with her.

Katie fell asleep behind me in bed today. I was laying in bed watching tv and she was eating a snack (kicking my head) when suddenly it got quiet. She had her hand in her cup of chips and she was out! I just left her there for a nap. Chad was in the bathroom painting.

Nana - I guess you wore her out this weekend!!!

Off to church we go! Emma was presented with her Bible at church today. She was quite thrilled. We have over thirty 2nd graders at our church, so it was quite an event. I will have more pictures of her actually getting the Bible at the ceremony.
As most of you know, Tracy had her baby this week. I will try to include of picture of her soon. She was 6 lbs 14 ounces. They named her Erica Leigh.

Vacation at Last!

I have added a couple of slide shows from our vacation to San Antonio. The water park slide show has some pictures of the family that we went with, the Minnichs. We loved going to to Schlitterbahn and we will more than likely go back soon. Katie had a great time. I was worried that there would not be much to do, but we founds more than enough fun water rides.

Schlitterbahn!

Floating the Lazy River at the Hyatt in San Antonio.

Going to the Dr Pepper museum!

The Panters went to San Antonio for vacation the first week of August. One of the fun stops we made on the way was to the Dr Pepper museum museum in Waco, TX.
We got to tour the museum and have a Dr Pepper from the fountain on the way out. One of the highlights was an area that played all of the Dr Pepper commercials from now and then. It was fun to watch, but the girls got VERY bored with it. I guess they do not appreciate history like I do. haha.

E lost both of her front teeth in the last two days. Now she can officially sing "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!"

The girls are excited about starting school. We start Sept 5th. Our school has bought a new building and it will not be ready until then.

Chad and I celebrated our 15th anniversary on the 10th of August!!! We spent it going to soccer practice. C'est la vie.

Regarding the scratch on E's nose: She was diving off of the diving board at the swimming pool and swam right into the side of the pool. I got blamed for it because I had forgot to bring her goggles with us. They always blame the mother, don't they.

Well, we won the clutziest family contest today. After being at Chick filet for only 5 minutes, G spilled her chocolate milk all over herself and E. After finishing lunch, we headed over to Kohl's for a quick run in for soccer shorts. As we were leaving (after buying nothing), G spilled her entire, FULL, milkshake in the womens section. After making a quick trip to the bathroom to get as many paper towels as I could with 4 kids in tow, I went back to clean it up. Everyone walking by kept giving me gross looks. Apparantly, it looked like vomit! It was so funny. I kept explaining it to everyone that walked by that I was cleaning up cookies and cream milkshake. I never people try to walk by me so fast. I eventually had to leave it for the employees to clean up because I had to get to an appt. I bet there is sign on the doorwith my picture saying, "Do not let this woman and her kids in the store!"

Another hot day in Tulsa. 100 degrees at 5:00.

It is 107 degrees in Tulsa. YIKES!

It think the heat index is about 112.

There is nothing to do but swim. Chad and I bought this pool a couple of days ago and the kids basically are living in it. Mommy is getting a bit cranky with the heat, but we are managing. The kids are fighting a lot! As soon as the weather breaks, I am sure we will all be in better moods.
